Edo Competition McLaren 675LT Tuning Program Teased in Industrial Photo Gallery

The images come from Edo Competition. Since we happen to be dealing with a German tuner that has a rich tradition of playing with top tier machines such as this Mac, there's probably more to the shenanigan than a set of nice pics.

In fact, Edo Competition is quietly working on a 675 Longtail program. The company's website shows a brief announcement that mentions this, but no details are mentioned.

Given the fact that Woking is only building 500 units of the 675LT, this is no small feat. And the conclusion still stands even after factoring in the 500 units of the 675LT Spider McLaren surprisingly introduced after presenting the fixed-roof model.

As for Edo Competition's project, this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. After all, we are dealing with yet another consequence of the fact that the need for individual has reached record levels nowadays. From tuners targeting limited editions, as is the case here, to coach building appearing to make a slow, yet steady recovery, the signs are multiple.

The latest example of this came yesterday, when we told you about a custom exhaust specialist based in Taiwan having gifted about 0.5 percent of the world's Porsche 911 GT3 RS population with its goodies.

But while IPE Exhaust, the aftermarket developer in question, did a one-point job, expect Edo Competition to go further than that. In fact, the least we can expect on the German tuner's side is a kit comprised of custom wheels, extra carbon parts and an exhaust system. We'll be back on the matter as soon as new details land in our hands.
