The “rat rod” term gets used so much these days in America, that almost every old banger with some rust on it can be classified as one. Some go so wrong, that if a restored classic car gets no paintjob, there are still lots of guys to name it that way.
With that in mind, we’ve just stumble across this Toyota “rat rod” on Ebay today. It is a 1964 Land Cruiser FJ 45 which was found in a barn and haven’t been in use since 1995.

It has a Chevy 235 six-cylinder engine, a custom bed and a winch at the front. But from my point of view, the most interesting feature on it is the rust and the patina collected by the body. Not too much to make it disintegrate and not too little to get unnoticed. It looks great for a rat rod project, or you can just fix the engine and run it like it is.
