As some of you know, Australia's touring car championship is a little bit different than touring car championships elsewhere in the world, especially those from Europe.

Featuring sedans with (obviously) high-powered V8 engines under their hoods, with designs that look not much different than their street counterparts, it's more like a muscle car championship than what we see in the DTM these days.

Since AMG has been known for years and years for their big sedans with torquey V8 engines, it was only natural that someone down under would someday use one of their cars to compete in V8 Supercars.

Not extremely successful in the last season, the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG W212 in V8 Supercars trim has apparently gathered its fair share of Aussie fans, because a scale model of the car will be released soon in Australia.

Made by Biante, which is like the Australian authority in die cast scale models, the 1:18 scale version of the E 63 AMG is currently in the making, with the photos in the gallery bellow depicting a pre-production version of the model.
