This year's facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-Class had a rather short 15 minutes of fame, largely because the new W222 S-Class was also launched, stealing the spotlight from just about any model Mercedes-Benz could have launched.
It's a shame, really, even though most people will also see it as a facelift that's a bit more extensive visually-wise and that's about it.
That's actually not it, because the facelift for the W212 E-Class costed about as much as developing an entirely new model, with some reports mentioning more than one billion Euros in total costs.
Technology-wise, the E-Class now pretty much has everything that was also introduced on the new S-Class, minus stuff like the hot stone massaged seats and the ambiance perfume.
The facelifted model recently introduced a number of 4Matic versions for its engine range, and AutoBlog spent some time in an E 350 4Matic Wagon. You can check out their driving notes about their short drive with the car in their review.
