Dwight Yorke’s Old Lamborghini for Sale

A 2003 Lamborghini Murcielago VT that belonged to the former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke is currently on sale on Auto Trader UK, priced at £94,995, which is £75,000 less than its new price in 2003. So if you’re in for a bargain, this is the moment to make your move.

The 38 year-old Trinidad and Tobago legend, who has just retired from football, was the first of the two owners of the Italian supercar which he bought in 2003. The car’s second owner has not been mentioned by Auto Trader, but it looks it took good care of it.

The Lambo has just 13,000 miles on the clock and a full Lamborghini service history. Equipped with a 6.2-litre V12 engine developing 580bhp, the car is able to accelerate from a naught to sixty in 3.8 seconds, topping out at 205 mph.

Nicknamed The Smiling Assassin (because of his goal scoring abilities as well as the fact that he is constantly smiling), Yorke started his career at Aston Villa in the 90s and moved to Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United team in 1998 for £12.8 million.

Yorke played for Man Utd for four years, being considered a key player for the team in the first three seasons. However, in the 2001-02 season, Yorke lost his place in the lineup after the arrival of Ruud van Nistelrooy. Some say this happened due to his publicized relationship with British model Jordan, a fact not that much appreciated by Sir Alex Ferguson.
