He drives a murdered-out Ford truck he calls Black Horse on a daily basis, so in a way things came naturally when FoMoCo decided to invite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on board their celebrity marketing team. Unfortunately, it appears the former wrestler is a lot better at kicking bad guy butts on screen than fixing your car.
Since we mentioned the Hollywood set, we may as well remind you that the Lamborghini Aventador that Johnson is driving in HBO’s Ballers is not really his. Perhaps the former wrestler’s size is the issue here, or maybe the actor just wants to keep things proportional when it comes to car style. Whatever the case may be, the truck is the thing for this Hollywood bad boy.

Come to think about it, the family matter could also be related to The Rock's decision. It was last month that Dwayne and his long-term girlfriend Lauren Hashian announced they are expecting their first baby together. Perhaps the Furious 7 actor is already getting ready for his future family.

Nevertheless, driving the company’s most esteemed truck does not mean you should also market it. Yet, somehow Ford managed to convince The Rock to star in the company’s new campaign for Ford service. It’s called “The Specialists at Ford” - and it sees the action hero leading a team of mechanics who will fix your truck in notime.

"I couldn't be more excited to be in partnership with Ford as their spokesman for service," said Johnson. "My relationship with Ford began when I was 15 and bought a classic '77 blue Thunderbird as my first car – and I've been a Ford man ever since. Representing their service department and the Ford individuals who are committed to taking care of their customers echoes one of my core enterprise beliefs, 'Always take care of your audience,' and whether it's in a movie theater or behind the wheel, taking care of people is what matters most."

Our call: The Rock should probably settle with driving Lambos on set, but we're not in charge of his PR.
