Actor and producer Dwayne Johnson will produce a TV show for Fox that will be focused on cars.
The Rock's latest project is called Boost Unit and will be a show about a special task force of the Los Angeles Police Department that will focus on car-related crimes. The LAPD unit exists and is called the Auto Theft Task Force. This particular police unit focuses on every possible crime one could do in a vehicle, so car chase scenes are bound to take place frequently.

The show will be inspired by real events that took place in L.A., so viewers have a promising series in front of them.

Dwayne Johnson will assume the producer role in this drama, and he will be accompanied by Dany Garcia. The two are also executive producers of the show, alongside Tim Kring, known for Heroes Reborn, and his company, Imperative Entertainment. The other two executive producers are the two scriptwriters, Jonny Umansky and Zach Hyatt.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the famous actor and producer announced his involvement in the new TV show on social media. In Johnson's words, the new program plans to capture a particular kind of "intense and entertaining action inspired by real life events and individuals."

His words make us think of the possibility that the scriptwriters spoke to the officers working on the LAPD's special car-oriented unit. After all, good research done by all parties involved make for a more exciting and realistic TV show, no matter what its subject is.

The new TV show isn't Dwayne Johnson's first job as a producer, the actor also being involved in HBO's Ballers, TNT's The Hero, Wake Up Call, and Rock the Troops. All the other people working on this new project and mentioned in the above paragraphs have experience in making popular TV shows and movies.
