The Rock will rock that car scene once again. Whether or not it’s going to be yet another (impossible) gig in which Jason Statham manages to put Dwayne Johnson in a hospital, we don’t know. But one thing is sure, he’ll star in the eight installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, due for 2017.
How would you feel to be part of a project that earns $1.5 billion dollars in less than two months? You’d most likely go shopping. Then, a proper party would come in naturally. Maybe you'd buy a nice beach mansion, a two-months vacation; open a small organic restaurant somewhere on an island in the Pacific. This bucket list could go on for a while, but that’s not really the way A-list producers think.

No, the first decision they took once the Furious 7 team saw how successful the movie got, was how to make another one. Money only asks for more money. In fact, sometimes it feels like one of the reasons regular people don’t have that sort of cash is the fact that they would most likely spend.

We all are interested in it. I just had a big conversation with the studio so we’ll see. I still think for me personally, we create a little bit of space from seven and gauge what the audience will want and go from there. That’s my take on it. Now a lot of other people have their own [say],” Dwayne Johnson told Nerd Report, the other day at the actor’s latest movie press release.

Since we’re still about two years away from seeing even a teaser of Furious 8, we might as well consider The Rock’s latest gig. After all, San Andreas should also involve some proper car chasing and cool stunts.
