For a tall fellow like him - 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in), being a center back for Premier League club Southampton should come in handy. While off the field, however, it also implies some restrictions. For instance, he wouldn’t feel that comfortable in a Fiat 500; whereas the boxy Mercedes-Benz G63 he just got customized should do the job.
The 24-year-old footballer has been taking each step at a time, and it seems they are the proper ones considering he just sealed a deal with his new team. In fact, it was less than a month ago - September 1st - when van Dijk signed a five-year contract with English side Southampton for a reported £11.5 million ($17.42 million at the current exchange rate).

The natural followed, of course. You know how these football stars like to celebrate; first, it’s a big party, and then it has to be an auto upgrade. By the looks of it, the Dutch footballer has been driving the Mercedes-Benz G63 for a while now. He did, however, only recently decided to take it to the shop for a proper refresh. We’re not exactly sure what will follow, but a new wrap clearly is in the preps.

As to the vehicle itself, we have to admit we’re quite impressed of how popular the Gedandewagen still is. After all, it’s been on call for 35 years, and nobody has stopped counting yet. Its distinct boxy styling and body-on-frame construction remains the model’s trademark.

Some consider the technology behind this machine a little outdated, but we say that 5.5-liter biturbo V8 still does the job. Twin turbochargers spin up to 185,000 rpm to dramatically boost low-end torque. We are looking at luxury SUV that needs a little over five seconds to reach the 60 mph mark from a standstill, so don’t let yourself fooled by its appearance.

So had this collected from the Southampton training ground.. G63 AMG for @officialvandijk .. Wrap time for this weapon.. #yiannimize #g63amg #amg #gwagon #merc #stealth #g63
