I get really freaked out when I see riders not wearing helmets while on the road. And riding at high speed on twisty roads or in busy streets is even worse.
With all the respect for those against wearing a helmet, here's one nice Ducati crash. Look at the pictures at the end of the movie to see the helmet damage, now watch the movie once more and tell everyone the helmet was futile. It doesn't seem to cut it, does it?
As the rider himself stresses, even experienced riders will one day see themselves in critical, dramatic situations, even if it not their fault getting them in such a predicament. In this case we might blame it on the alleged 30 mph (48 km/h) blowing through the canyon. Or whatever.
This guy would have certainly been dead without a helmet. He says it himself, the movie shows he didn't exaggerate and statistics prove unhelmeted riders tend to die more than helmeted ones because of crashes. Just wear the helmet, please.
