And we're just happy to show you the re-vamped Monster for 2013, next to the 20th anniversary edition of this iconic beast. The Monster 900 preseted in Cologne back in 1992 is the basis for the color scheme of the anniversary model, but there are a lot of details which will make the 796 special Monster stand out.

Like its smaller brother, the 796 comes with a bronze frame and exhaust pipes, golden Brembo monoblock calipers and a matching fork. Chrome headlight accents are a nice compliment to many other gray elements, such as the swingarm and so on.

The bike presents itself as design classic with the '90's heritage mirrors and the almost vintage 1986 Ducati logo reading bold and clearly on the fuel tank. The new 796 Monster is powered by the new, lighter Desmodue L-twin unit inside a tubular Trellis frame for lightweight rigidity.

The 2013 796 Monster comes with lightweight 5-spoke wheels and can be ordered with ABS. The bike is DDA-ready and if you feel like racing and gathering data on your progress, the optional Ducati Data Analyser is the way to go.

Aside from the 20th Anniversary Edition coloring, the 2013 796 Monster comes in Black Silk, Arctic While and the all-time favorite Red.
