Ducati Launches New 2017 Monster... For Kids

Although Ducati did quite an awesome job on revealing the new Super Sport model at INTERMOT this month, it left fans a bit disappointed by not saying anything about an upgraded Monster naked. That could become true at EICMA, but until then, here’s the new Monster for kids.

Want to introduce your kid to the motorcycle world from an early age? A pocket bike might be the answer, but you should first start off with the basics of two-wheeling through a bicycle. Maybe even a stylish Ducati Monster styled one.

Ducati just revealed the new Monster 12” model to its range and it is a cool little bicycle, perfect for your toddler to start going around on two tiny wheels. The new bike uses a Ducati signature trellis frame, modeled after the company’s most recognizable model.

As the official webpage dictates, “this 12″ bicycle is oriented toward fun when starting out riding: Monster 12″ is the start for bikers of tomorrow: introduce your little ones to the Ducati Family today!”

The Monster 12” also comes in the well-known Ducati Red color along with a Black/Red Saddle Active FM-1216 seat. The front forks are steel and there’s no rear suspension, but you can have it with 5-inch training wheels to keep you kid safe as he’s getting the hang of riding.

A slightly bigger 16” model will also be on the offer soon in case your offspring is already too big for such a bicycle. This one comes with larger wheels and front suspension. It is also finished in white and can be had with trainer wheels as well.

In case you weren’t aware, Ducati offers another bicycle inspired by one of its actual models - the Hypermotard, which comes in 12” or 16”. The current bicycle range also contains models for adults and even a few electrically-assisted versions.
