Ducati Launches Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak SE Video

This special edition of the Multistrada has been grabbing the attention of Ducati fans ever since its unveiling in early March, so the Italian manufacturer decided it was time to treat them with a further arousing video. As the Pikes Peak Hill Climb event is set to happen this month, the video comes to offer an extra reason for why we should be keeping an eye on Greg Tracy and Alexander Smith. It doesn't say much, but lets us enjoy the bike instead.

The two riders form the line-up for the Ducati entry this year, hoping for yet another success. In fact, the this special edition model celebrates the Greg Tracy’s famous victory in the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race in Colorado.

Getting back to the Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Special Edition, the bike underlines the race-bred traditions that exists within all each and every Ducati and comes after a massive first year achievement for the award-winning Multistrada 1200, which established a new market standard in street motorcycle technological innovation using the four-bikes-in-one principle.

As you knew from the (short) number of photos Ducati released so far, and now from the adjacent video, the Pikes Peak Edition comes with a replica Ducati Corse-style paint scheme, with passenger foot-peg hangers and motor guard anodised in black finish and sport red pin-striping on the rims.

In addition to the original equipment silencer and screen, the Pikes Peak Special Edition arrives with an EU approved Ducati Performance carbon fibre silencer by Termignoni and a race-derived low screen in carbon fiber. A Ducati Performance carbon fibre front mudguard, and custom made seat detailed with red stitching complete the specs.
