Ducati Honors Loris Capirossi with Early Xmas Present: a GP11 Desmosedici

Loris Capirossi got an awesome early Xmas present from Ducati: the very GP11 Desmosedici he rode back in 2011 in his last race before retiring from pro racing.

The GP11 has the number 58 on the fairing, as Capirossi used it to remember and pay respect to his former friend and rival, Marco Simoncelli, killed in Malaysia earlier in the season.

Loris Capirossi is a World Champion for both 125 and 250 GP classes and has ridden a Ducat in the premiere class between 2003 and 2007, delivering their forst GP victory and a 3rd position in 2006.

The 2011 season saw him aboard a Ducati Pramac machine, too, the very one he took home these days. Capirossi is also the only rider to have taken at least 300 starts in GP racing.
