Ducati Diavel Carbon on the Royal Wedding Gift List

Today the British Royal family is in celebration, as the Prince who is second in line to the British throne, after Prince Charles, William and his long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton get married. Known to be an avid motorcyclist, William is rumoured to have a Ducati Diavel Carbon on his wedding gift list, as Visordown reports.

Prince William, whose new title is Duke of Cambridge, currently rides a top of the range Ducati 1198SP superbike, which is priced around £17,000. The Diavel that could join his stables features a similar engine to the 1198SP, and costs £15,895.

The bike will reportedly be engraved with the date of the Royal Wedding on the top yoke, and features carbon fiber panels and lightweight wheels which shed some of the bike's weight and help it achieve a 0-60mph time of 2.8 seconds.

The power cruiser is propelled by a 1198cc L-Twin cylinder, four-valve per cylinder, liquid cooled Testastretta 11° motor, which produces a maximum of 162 bhp of power and 94 lb-ft (128 Nm) of torque.

Buckingham Palace said William is now His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, and that Miss Catherine Middleton is now Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.

There's more: The palace statement said William was also named the Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus. Middleton took those titles when she said "I will," becoming Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus. All three titles were bestowed by William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to mark the marriage.

However, due to the fact that Middleton was not born royalty, she will not officially become Princess Catherine. The public may choose to call her that, or even "Princess Kate," in defiance of protocol.
