Ducati Desmosedici Special Edition Art Prints

To mark the 2009 MotoGP and Superbike season, Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati had just launched a special limited edition dedicated to Desmosedici 09 and 1198, created by artist Mirko Pohle. The full collection can be viewed (and ordered) by accessing the following link.

The recently released artworks are limited 1-27 for Desmosedici 09 and 1-41 for Desmosedici 1198. Just like the other artworks, these too are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a limited edition certificate, guaranteeing their collector value.

Ducati artworks are authentic originals reproduced as museum quality fine art giclée prints and reportedly “have one mission only: make your passionate heart beat faster through aesthetic emotion.”

Mirko's artwork consists primarily of mixed-media images. Mirko's work focuses on recreation and re-adaptation as an art in its own  right. He is heavily inspired by western Pop Art says he is enjoying his work most when it delivers a healthy dose of fun to its viewers.

“By combining mixed media with modern technology, he samples various images uniting them to recreate a new redesigned artifact,”
Ducati describes Pohle on the special dedicated website. “His photography focuses on clean environmental compositions and capturing a luminescence that grant them a surreal sense of light.”

“His work is now filtering into the commercial world as he dedicates most of his time to pushing the boundaries of post- modern art in the mainstream, retaining both a high quality standard and respect for art.”
