Ducati officially announces the name of Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano as the two riders who will try to bring back World Superbike glory to the Borgo Panigale squad.
Both the Welsh and the Italian have been confirmed for the 2014 and 2015 seasons and they will be riding the Ducati 1199 Panigale motorcycles. According to Ducati sources, both new riders and their technicians will start the pre-season testing at Jerez, Spain October 30-31, the first of the three tests scheduled for this winter.
Ducati has made no statement as of which team will replace Alstare, after the last week agreement to end the current contract between the two.
Welshman Chaz Davies was born in 1987 and is the 2011 World Supersport Champion, moving to WSBK one year later and scoring one victory in 2012 and three in 2013.
Italian Davide Giugliano was born in 1989, and won the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup in 2011. He ended 2013 WSBK in the 6th position.
