Ducati Announces Diavel Experience Month

The North American division of Ducati announced April as Diavel Experience Month. Across the country, dealerships are offering motorcycle enthusiasts Diavel test-ride opportunities to experience Ducati’s newest bike. Throughout the month, future Diavel owners will learn more about the motorcycle’s design, technology and performance.

Dealership executives will provide enthusiasts with an unique riding experience and walk through the individualized selection of Ducati Performance accessories, lifestyle and technical gear. After the ride is over, Ducatisti are encouraged to discuss their experiences with the new Ducati Community site.

“As a result of the initial overwhelming response to the Diavel, we want to ensure both current and future Ducati riders get the chance to experience the bike first-hand,” said Cristiano Silei, CEO of Ducati North America.

The Diavel comes as blend between a naked street bike (as it is light and agile), a cruiser (imposing and comfortable) and a sports bike (powerful, offering a high level of performance). Powered by a 1198cc, Testastretta 11° Desmodromic engine, developing 162 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 127.5 Nm (94 lb.ft.) at 8,000 rpm, the Diavel is derived from Ducati’s GP superbike heritage.

Also, perhaps the most notable features on the Diavel includes LED lights and a hands free start up system, as well as the ability to switch between three riding modes, each one with proven Ducati Traction Control, aided by the Ducati Safety Pack Brembo Brakes with ABS.

Pricing has been set for the 2011 Diavel at $16,995, $19,995 for the Diavel Carbon and $20,395 for the Carbon “Red” version.
