Ducati 848 Hates the Off-Road

It looks like good, clean asphalt is the only thing we should ever feed to a Ducati 848, as gravel, grass and ditches are definitely not its cup of tea. Or gas, or oil, for what's worth.
This very lesson is exactly the one the said Ducati taught its owner after running too wide in a Swiss pass turn. The rider came in a bit too hot and went off the road, after failing to slow down on the roadside gravel and obviously losing any trace of grip once on the green grass.

However, it looks like he could have saved this one should he have leaned hard in the turn. The road was clean and the tarmac in perfect condition, so he could do exactly what the rider in front did: throttle back and lean hard. Too bad his position on the road left him with little to no choice at all. Good to see he was alright.
