We knew Pierobon was working hard to have a trellis frame version for the Ducati 1199 Panigale ready for the 2013 EICMA, and now we have both nifty pictures and footage of the bike, too.
Pierobon used steel and alluminium alloy for this awesome new frame, with machined billet lateral plates. This frame not only looks great but it is also loaded with high-tech racing-grade technology: the rake and wheelbase of the Panigale are adjustable for setup versatility.

The air ducts have been made from carbon fiber and new foot pegs have also been designed for enhanced ergonomics. The Pierobon trellis frame is still a direct replacement for the original one, and they can be swapped if need be.

Another big difference Pierobon makes with the new Panigale trellis frame is that the rear subframe is no longer attached to the rear cylinder head. It is now bolted to the chassis directly.

Will this frame help the Panigale perform better in races? Time will tell, but something kind of tells us this is better than the original...
