Dubai Police Officer Spotted in Bugatti Veyron

It’s been a while since the Dubai Police offered us any ingredients for a police supercar-related piece of news, but it seems that one of their officers was recently spotted inside a Bugatti Veyron.

Sure, policemen climbing into civilian cars may not sound all that special, but we have to remind you that the Dubai Police is expected to top its supercar fleet with one of these - Dubai Police Chief Dhahi Khalfan Tamim tweeted a rendering of the vehicle earlier this year.

However, there’s no new official information yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see if the supercar-flooded streets of Dubai will get a new Lion.

As a matter of fact, we can’t see why Dubai wouldn’t get one of these hypercars soon. After all, their Police Fleet is quite renown for their expensive and luxurious models they keep adding to the family. But let us ask you something else for a change. Did you know that in one of the most opulent cities in the world both male and female police officers carry semi-automatic handguns such as the Caracal and Sig Sauer pistols?

And we haven’t even mentioned the Special Emergency Units (SWAT) and their arsenal. They have everything from the Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun and Glock 17 pistols, to Ithaca 37 shotguns, M4 and M16 Variant Rifles, X26 Tasers, Flask Grenades and other weapons.

In other words, the Dubai Police Force may have recently acquired exotic sportscars and supercars, but we all know they are being used for patrolling tourists areas. Meanwhile, general duties and patrols are carried by Chevrolet, Toyota and Nissan vehicles.

If you aks this editor, I'd tell you we should expect hybrids, if not even some electric vehicles soon. After all, it's always about setting some kind of an example for all the tourists visiting the city.
