Drunk driving is a serious offense that keeps occurring. Along with the drivers that get caught by police officers and have their licenses suspended, there is a group of people that slip away from the law after they have gotten behind the wheel after drinking.
Some of these people magically reach their destination and eventually become repeat offenders that get caught or end up in trouble, while others slip through and cause a crash.

Every once in awhile, these accidents caused by drivers that have consumed substances before driving end up without any fatalities. The luckiest of them do not cause injury to anyone, and material damage remains the only problem after their DUI.

One of these cases occurred in Bremerton, Washington, where a suspected DUI driver was arrested after crashing. The most ironic part of the accident is that he hit a “Please Don’t Drink and Drive” sign. We could not have made up a story this good for April Fools, but it happened for real this Monday.

According to Q13Fox, the vehicle missed a school bus by a couple of feet, but it did hit two parked automobiles, a hydrant, and some shrubs. Evidently, the sign we mentioned was knocked down.

The sign itself was donated by the “Louis De Santis family,” which probably lost a relative because of a DUI driver and wanted to remind everyone in the community never to drive after they consumed alcohol.

A Washington State Patrol trooper, Russ Winger, shared two photos from the scene of the accident that took places on State Route 303 in Bremerton. The accident occurred on Monday morning, so the unnamed driver was probably returning from a party held on Sunday.

We cannot stress the importance of never getting behind the wheel of a vehicle after consuming alcohol or substances that might impair your driving or judgment.

Do not let your friends or acquaintances drive a car after drinking, and call the police if you spot someone driving erratically, as if he or she were not sober and got behind the wheel. A taxi fare or an Uber trip will always be cheaper and safer than risking someone’s life because of a DUI.

In over fourteen years, he got behind the wheel of several hundred vehicles and in the offices of the most important car publications in his homeland.
