Driver of a Truck with No Front Wheels Doesn't Get It Why the Police Stopped Him

"Waaait a minute," you're going to say, "there's no way a truck could drive without its front wheels. You're trying to fool me." Don't worry, we can totally understand that reaction - in fact, we had the exact same one the first time we've heard about it.

The Internet has turned us into a bunch of suspicious non-believers that don't hate anything more than being conned by somebody else. But this very understandable reservation with which you are greeting the information in the title isn't required in this case.

Yes, a driver actually though it wasn't such a bad idea to drive around with a truck missing its pair of front wheels. In fact, as the little dialogue he has with the police officer stopping him reveals, it wasn't so much his idea, as it was his boss'. Surprise, surprise, a businessman trying to cut costs - never seen that before.

The most intriguing part of this video is that the large vehicle actually appears to go through a border checkpoint, so it's not like the driver - or the boss - had any hope of avoiding a run-in with the police. That means they must have genuinely believed there was nothing wrong with taking two wheels off a heavy duty vehicle. Bless them.

Well, the truth is you were right, and you have every reason to doubt the things you read on the Internet because while they might not always be false, they can sometimes hide part of the truth. In this case, the remaining two front wheels that the truck had. It was one of those vehicles equipped with two steering axles, so "the boss" thought the engineers exaggerated a little when they designed the truck and decided that one was enough. The driver liked his job so he decided to go along with it, even though he might now have ended up with a fine we fully doubt his boss will cover.

On the other hand, the whole truck looks like it's been to hell and back - or, more likely, as if it crashed and laid on its side for a while. Maybe even rolled over, who knows. We guess that was the driver's skill at work, so maybe he doesn't really hold the upper hand in his relationship with the boss...

Here's the video. Make sure you have the Closed Captions switched on (unless you speak Chinese) so you can get an idea of what they're saying. It's worth it.
