A 22-year-old woman in New York recently learned how fast karma can catch up with you after she crashed her Toyota Prius into a fire department on Monday. The driver had allegedly just stolen several snakes from a nearby pet store, and when the firefighters opened the door to help the woman, they found a two-foot-long python around her neck.
Regardless of whether or not the stolen snake may have played a role in the accident, the CBS 2 New York news reports says the police allege the driver smelled of alcohol and she had a bag of marijuana in the car as well. On Tuesday, the driver pleaded not guilty to charges that include reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and petit larceny.

Although security cameras caught the whole thing on tape, the video below is a news report that just shows the aftermath of the collision that sent the driver of the car to the hospital where she was treated and released. Things could have been much worse in the accident as she crossed the median into oncoming traffic before crashing into the firehouse, which the report says was full of volunteers for a blood drive.

The report also says that a dog was inside the car during the crash, and fortunately, no people or animals were harmed, but the same can’t be said for the fire truck. The accident left thousands of dollars’ worth of damage including substantial damage to the front end of a fire truck.
