Next time your mother / significant other / inner voice tells you you’re messy, show them this: one driver from the U.K. managed to crash the car he’d already parked because he was literally swimming in garbage.

The half-funny-half-tragic story comes from the official Hampshire Police Twitter page: their roads policing unit ticketed a driver who had just parked his Skoda but was unable to pull on the handbrake to keep it from rolling backwards, so it crashed into another parked vehicle. It happened because he had stuffed his car with garbage.

The PD also posted a couple of shots of the car’s interior and it’s truly something as horrible as you’ve ever seen on Hoarders. In fact, this is why this is half-tragic, as some commenters point out: the dude was probably suffering from some mental issue, hence his hoarding, and shouldn’t be made fun of in the public sphere like that.

The PD says they’re doing it to show other drivers what not to do.

“Boris Johnson’s car is a dream compared to this one! Driver couldn’t get the hand brake on and rolled back into a parked vehicle. I wonder why?,” they write in the caption to the photos.

The Boris Johnson reference comes after photos of the aspiring Prime Minister’s car were posted online, with people calling him out for being messy. His Toyota Previa was strewn with discarded coffee cups, items of clothing and rubbish, and stained with mud.

This Skoda truly makes the Previa pale by comparison: at a single glance, you can spot an upturned plastic stool, a fan, cigarette butts, old newspapers, garbage bags, electronics, shopping bags and even potted plants. The garbage fills half of the driver’s seat as well, so no wonder the driver wasn’t able to get to the handbrake under all that extra baggage.
