So, you’ve seen a lot of Corolla AE 86 drift cars so far, right? Forget about all of them. This is the craziest one by far - the Driftworks’ “DW 86” orange box of awesomeness.
Based on a standard Toyota Corolla AE 86, the DW 86 is barely a Toyota anymore. Only the body has been kept while everything else has been stripped away, even the engine.
And no, there is no 2JZ engine replacing the 4A-GE. In fact it’s not even a Japanese sourced engine as that narrow place under the bonnet has been filled with an LS3 V8 Chevy engine. A 6.2-liter forged LS3 to be specific and it also got a lot of goodies such as a Jenvey throttle body and a Jerico 4 speed dog box. This powerhouse makes 585 bhp and 610 lb-ft while the whole car probably weighs in at around 1,400 kg (3,086 lb).
It also comes with a Nickson Motorsport T45 rollcage, custom transmission tunnel, a special widebody kit, Driftworks CS2 and Geomaster suspension as well as CCW wheels.
