Today, a cellphone video showing a drifting car surfaced the web. If it wasn't for the title you might think it's just another show-off video of some random guy.
After a couple of seconds, despite the terrible video quality, you can make out the car's brand and model. It seems to be a red BMW E30, the legendary 3 Series. The driver keeps on doing donuts until, at one moment he does the "look, the car is drifting by itself" trick and finds himself out of the car.
The results are immediate. Panic takes over, he lunges towards the car to stop it but he's too late and the out-of-control vehicle goes straight through a group of bystanders that gathered around to watch the show.
This is a perfect example of why drifting should be done on a closed course, supervised by professionals. We all love E30 Bimmers but when they end up in the wrong hands, bad things can happen. Always drive safe!
