Drake’s Car Collection Now Includes a McLaren 675LT

Drake, the Canadian rapper who hasn’t exactly "started from the bottom" to be what he is now, has a net worth of $60 million. This sees Drake join rap music’s richest personalities. To boot, it goes without saying that such a sizeable cash pile has its perks as far as spending potential is concerned.

There’s a line in Paris Morton Music that goes as follows: “Havin’ lunch and debatin’ Ferrari prices.” Fictional or not, this pastime is one of the perks of having a net worth of $60 million. But instead of lining up for a LaFerrari Spider, Drake jumped on the McLaren bandwagon by buying a 675 Long Tail.

Word has it Drake decided to drop approximately $350,000 on the white-painted Macca to celebrate the launch of his newest album, christened Views. As per the featured photograph, Drake took delivery of his 2016 McLaren 675LT from Driving Emotions Motorcar of Toronto.

It is but one of 500 units ever made as a nod to the F1 GTR Longtail, the McLaren that finished the 1995 edition of Le Mans in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 13th. Those were the good times, more so if you consider that McLaren’s current Formula 1 effort is rather sluggish.

Compared to its poor results in Formula 1, McLaren is on a roll in terms of road-going machines. The 675LT is a perfect case in point, being hailed as one of the best supercars the world has ever seen. Based on the 650S but lighter and more powerful, the 675LT also brags with 40 percent more downforce. As a keen driver’s car, the 675LT is a tough cookie to crack.

Drake is no stranger to high-performance vehicles with absurd retail prices, albeit the 675LT is arguably the best car he’s owned from the point of view of a spirited driver. Other four-wheeled dream machines Drake owns or used to own include a Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, Rolls-Royce Wraith, Bentley Mulsanne, and Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe, to name just a few.
