Part of the whole M car ideology is drag racing. You can’t have such a car and not race it, even between stoplights for less than 400 meters (1/4 mile) and even in the worst of conditions.
The upcoming M4 won’t be any kind of exception to the rule and fans all over the world are already seeking pre-production models on the street, trying to drag race them, no matter what car they’re driving.
One such fan went to Munich the other day and went on a prowl to find a Yas Marina Blue M4 to see exactly how it looks in person. Fortune had it that he managed to find one and even sit right next to it at a stop light.
Needless to say that a drag race was immediately considered and the car he was driving felt the need for speed almost instantly, revving like crazy and sounding just like a 75 HP diesel would: really bad.
There’s no need to even talk about who won. After all, the Bimmer has 431 HP and 550 Nm of torque sent to the rear wheels from under the bonnet and would make scarce work of any troubling 75 HP diesel car. However, the fact that the whole experience was caught on camera made it worth our while. You can even hear the M4’s raspy exhaust at one point. Check it out!
