OK you guys, we don't know about you, but we've completely given up on buying a Lamborghini Gallardo LP520 with E-gear. No, we're not going to buy a Prius, don't be silly, we're going to buy something with forced induction.
Yesterday, we saw how the automatic early V10 supercar received a spanking from a tuned Volvo S40. Today, it's time to see what a real performance machine, a hot Jag.
The Brits didn't design the XFR as the ultimate speed machine. They just wanted a rival for the BMW M5 and gave long legs and a big heart: a 5.0-liter V8. It might have two less cylinders, but thanks to the magic of supercharging, it produces about the same amount of power as the Gallardo, but also 115 Nm of extra torque.
On paper, the Gallardo should be faster, reaching 100 km/h in 4 seconds, compared to the XFR's 4.8. But as you can see, the Jag really has a lot of extra pulling power. Driver error can't possibly explain the 10 car lengths it pulls in this video.
