New is usually better than old at just about everything, from two men running a marathon to two computers running the same video game. But when it comes to cars, old is not necessarily a bad thing.
Today's racing battle brings together a champion from 2007 and another that's a bit younger. A special version of the 430, the Scuderia model was considered to be a successor of the Challenge Stradale version of the 360. The car it's going un against is a 997 Porsche 911 Turbo that's been tuned to 580 horsepower.
On paper, the 911 should win because it's got more power, more torque and supposedly better systems to put it down, including better traction control and all-wheel drive.
Although it's got 70 less hp at its disposal, the 430 Scuderia shows it belongs on a track and leaves the the 911 Turbo for dead.
