You probably weren’t expecting to see the brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray pitted against an all-electric Tesla Model S sedan on the drag strip anytime soon, but the first showdown between the two happened earlier this month during an event at Palm Beach International Raceway.
It’s been almost a year since the Tesla Model S was pitted against a slightly upgraded SRT Viper, and the all-electric sedan returned to the drag strip to race against Detroit’s newest sportscar - the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
The showdown took place at Palm Beach International Raceway earlier this month, when a C7 Corvette fitted with the Z51 package and a 6-speed automatic was lined up against Tesla’s sporty Model S P85. The result? Well, we won’t spoil it for you... Let’s just say the outcome is not exactly what some would like to see.
