Double White Lines Are Irrelevant in Russia

Double white lines should never be crossed, and not because the law says so (though, that would be a good enough reason for most people), but because it is a major safety concern. In this video from Russia, nobody seems to be giving any importance to what is marked on the tarmac.
Both the BMW X5 driver and the scooter rider are at fault here, though the man behind the wheel of the X5 was clearly doing a much more serious offense, as he was driving in the oncoming lane, after having gone over the double white lines.

Sadly, as most of these things end up, the BMW ends up hitting the scooter in a rather severe manner. Thankfully, though, the rider is OK and surprisingly non-violent, for a Russian man in his position, we would have expected more (though, we are happy we didn’t see any more).
