Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Voices for TomTom

After announcing the introduction of characters like Homer Simpson or Darth Vader, navigation solution provider TomTom had just revealed that the official voices of Nickelodeon’s Dora {ad]the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants are now available for users of TomTom devices.

The dialogue from the Nickelodeon show characters is combined with TomTom device voice commands. For example: Dorathe Explorer guides the driver with navigation instructions such as “We need to exit left ahead. ¡Vámonos! We're getting closer!” and “Adventures are better with an explorer like you.”

On the other hand, SpongeBob SquarePants will be telling you “Hey, I don’t have a license to drive. So is it illegal when I drive Mr.Krabscrazy?” and “Exit ahead. Hey, we’re cruisin’ in a car! I’ve only cruised in a boat before!”

“Working with Spot It Out and Nickelodeon enables TomTom to expand the range we can deliver to drivers so that drivers can personalise their devices with an array of fun personalities,” said Tom Murray, senior vice president of market development.

“The voices of Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants arrive just in time for TomTom users to enjoy during their summer adventures – from camp carpools to vacations – and keep the whole family entertained along the way.”

Users can download voices of their favorite characters from TomTom HOME or by accessing the following link, where you can find audio samples as well. Voices of Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants are available for download for £7.95 each.

However, if you are more into Star Wars voices and already got bored with Darth Vader’s indications, other voices are soon to follow, including by C-3PO (June), Yoda (July) and Han Solo (August).
