Pizza is one of the most wonderful inventions of the culinary world. Thin crusts, Italian crusts, cheesy crusts, seafood, garlic and sweet fruit – the combinations are endless. But when it comes to pizza delivery, it’s as much about getting there in time and in style as it is about what you’re eating.
Domino’s knows this, and a few months ago it launched an online competition to see who can reinvent the delivery vehicle.
After carefully sifting through 1,500 entries, they finally found a winner in the design of Slovenian’s named Anej Kostrevic.
His sketches are quite interesting, sort of like the delivery vehicle of the future. This little single-seater is called the Domino’s Pack, it’s a bit like Renault’s Twizy electric vehicle. However, in the back of this little vehicle, there’s a special storage facility meant to keep the pizza hot and the drinks cold.
Dominos will now put the “Ultimate Delivery Vehicle” contest into phase two, where this concept will be made more realistic.
