Dogs cannot drive, right? That is not accurate, according to a few witnesses.
A pair of dogs in Wayne, West Virginia, managed to drive a car for a very short distance. They crashed it into a Walmart, but nobody was injured. Apparently, the owner of the vehicle went shopping, and left the two dogs in the car with the engine and air conditioning running.

The engine was left on so that the two dogs do not suffer from heat stroke after sitting in a car with the windows rolled up and parked in the sun, but it appears that the parking brake was not activated when the driver left the vehicle.

Instead of a roll incident, where the car would be left in Neutral, the vehicle was supposedly left running while in Park, and the two dogs allegedly moved the gear selector on the steering column to drive. From there, the car drove into the Walmart building, where it stopped without any severe damage to the vehicle or the facility.

The owner of the car is a person that is in their 70s, according to witnesses quoted by WSAZ, and the elderly woman managed to drive the car (complete with dogs) back home after filing the paperwork with local police regarding the incident.

Fortunately, the dogs did not manage to apply the gas, making this impact happen at a very low speed. Another witness told reporters that they were standing in front of the store when the vehicle began driving towards the building with no driver behind the wheel. As soon as the vehicle got closer to the Walmart building, the witness moved away from the path of the car, as it could have struck her.

This accident could have turned into a tragedy if a child was sitting in front of the store where the vehicle hit the building. According to the same witness, the second dog was sitting in the passenger seat, and it managed to roll the window down right after the impact.
