Dog Saucer Motorcycle Trailer Seems Fun

We've seen out fair share of methods to have one's dog ride along: in sidecars, on scooters, even in special-design top case bags. But if you really want to go pro, it looks like nothing beats the Dog Saucer.

Veteran Greg Hudome likes riding his motorcycle and he also loves his, so he came up with an invention for having the two mixed together. The Dog Saucer is easily attached to a hitch fixed to the motorcycle and thanks to its torsion axles, it provides a smooth ride for both biker and dog.

The Saucer provides plenty of space even for larger breeds, and its clear acrylic dome allows the dogs to stand, while providing exceptional visibility. Thanks two the dual openings, ventilation is not a problem and the dog can even stick its head out on either opening.

The fiberglass shell sits on an aluminium frame and also has 4”-thick padding, with special bowl for food and water and lights. The project is up for funding on Kickstarter, but we really believe the goal is a bit crazy: $600,000 (€) for kickstarting the Dog Saucer is not too good of a joke. As for the announced prices starting at $4,000 (€) for the base model and $6,000 (€) for the full-options... we'll let people be the judge of this.
