Dodge Viper puts some make-up

The new version of the Viper model made by Dodge is “almost here”. The facelift for the Dodge Viper was developed together with McLaren and Ricardo specialists and - besides a modified exterior with new dynamic and attractive lines - has a massive 8,4 litre  (8,3 l - old one) V10 aluminium engine, developing 600 HP. Impressive?

Especially when its top speed is somewhere around 350 km/h - according to its speedometer.

But with this high performance, an advanced brake system is required too. That’s why the manufacturer equipped the car with 14 inch Brembo discs, the facelifted Viper needing only 30 meters to make a full stop from 100 to 0 km/h - according to the press release.

That’s about all we know about this exotic car for now, and we can tell you that it will reach US’s showrooms starting this fall, with a starting price that remains unknown up to this point.

By the looks of it, every 2008 Dodge Viper SRT 10 will be hand-built in Detroit at the Conner Avenue Assembly plant. The Viper is the flagship car for the Dodge brand and it has been in production since 1992.

It was first developed as a modern approach to classic American muscle cars. In the meantime, things have blown out of proportion and now the Dodge Viper is one of the most famous cars in the world.
