Rarely do we come across an engine swap that’s as blasphemous as the one in the adjacent video. We are talking about a Dodge Viper engine installed in a... 1930 Rolls-Royce.
We’re not quite sure if the V10 belongs to the first or the second generation Viper, but this is now occupying the bay of what is described as a 1930 Rolls-Royce GLR Coupe. Still, to our eyes, this looks like a Rolls-Royce 20/25, the smaller offering in the carmaker’s range at the time.
If this is correct, the V10 is replacing a six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3,699 cc. And while the displacement has thus more than doubled, we have to explain that the original engine produced 25 hp, as indicated by the vehicle’s designation.
Well, blasphemy it may be, but we can’t hide the fact that such a transformation makes the word “interesting” sound like an understatement. A major one.
Just like in the Dodge Viper, the V10 is mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual and this is just one of the many tech mods received by the car. Unfortunately, the one who captured the images didn’t include the spec sheet, so we can only imagine how far the transformation has gone.
