Even though it’s the first half of November, Fiat Chrysler is much obliged to put a spin on the winter holidays with the “Big Finish” advertising campaign. The one that stands out is “Upgrade” from Dodge, which sees Santa staring at his centuris-old sleigh and proclaiming to the elves that “it’s time for an upgrade.”
As you can tell from the headline of this story, Mr. Claus and his little helpers decided to take the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye as the basis of his new sleigh. Bringing the point home, the tagling that Dodge uses in this commercial is “there’s more than one way to fly.” Truth be told, 797 horsepower sounds better than eight reindeerpower.

Chrysler lacks the sparkle it once had at this sort of stuff, proving that you can’t keep one of America’s greatest luxury automakers alive with nothing but a minivan. The 30-second clip sees the Pacifica used as a boombox that plays a rap reinterpreration of Jingle Bells.

Jeep, for whatever reason, decided that it would be rad to join forces with OneRepublic for the song used in “Colorful Christmas.” There’s nothing special or memorable about this commercial at all, which sees the Jeep lineup driving through snowy landscapes, green forests, mountainous regions, and blue coastlines.

Last, but certainly not least, the Ram brand’s “Ginger Builders” has Gwen Stefani on the soundtrack with “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.” As expected from the maker of light- and heavy-duty pickups, this commercial features three trucks taking part in the construction of a Christmas project that’s more or less inspired by the world of Willy Wonka.

"We set out to accomplish three objectives with our Big Finish campaign – it must be unique to each brand personality, it must be impactful to help sell cars during the automotive industry’s biggest selling season, and it must be relevant," said Olivier Francois, chief marketing officer at Fiat Chrysler.
