Now, the Dodge Nitro has received a new trim level, as well as a few equipment updates for certain grades, as part of the 2011 model year changes.
The Heat, Detonator and Shock equipment levels are now accompanied by the Heat 4.0 Lifestyle Package. This uses a 4.0 liter V6 powerplant delivering 260 hp and a maximum torque of 25 lb-ft (359 Nm) and is mated to a five speed manual gearbox. It comes with the equipment list of the Heat grade, adding Uconnect Phone and a premium sound system that uses eight speakers to deliver a top quality audio experience.
All Nitro models belonging to the 2011 model year will get standard 20 inch alloy rims, as well as a monochromatic finish for the interior. Certain models will receive new materials for the interior, as well as a special leather finish that comes with contrasting stitching. The range of exterior colors has also been upgraded. This now includes Bright White Clear Coat, Blackberry Pearl Coat, Toxic Orange Pearl Coat and Redline Two Coat.
In addition to that, the Detonator and Shock versions now come with racing stripes on the hood and front fenders. These are Dodge’s new signature and offer the vehicles a more distinct look, also giving them a sporty aura.
