If you want to buy a new Plum Crazy Dodge Charger or Challenger and didn't get the chance to do it in 2015, we have great news from Dodge.
The carmaker extended the period in which dealers can take orders on this limited edition historic paint color for the two models. The Plum Crazy color is available for order at Dodge dealers until the end of January. The carmaker decided to extend the limited edition shade's availability due to strong customer demand. Furthermore, clients that order a Challenger or a Charger in January 2016 can also get a newly introduced stripe scheme.

The SRT Hellcat variants are available for order with an individual full-length dual carbon-fiber pattern stripe. The new stripe patterns can be had with the Plum Crazy paint job, setting new ordering options for Dodge dealers this month.

Unlike the Plum Crazy paint, Dodge will offer its strips for the Charger and Challenger in the coming months. The company wants to provide customers the opportunity to customize their cars from the factory with the new stripe patterns.

The brand could further develop this idea and introduce new designs in the following months or years, but there's no official confirmation on that at this time. The new SRT Hellcat dual stripes have a suggested retail price of $995 in the United States of America.

Regarding the Dodge Viper, the company's press release doesn't mention the availability of the Plum Crazy hue or the stripe package, but the car is featured in the associated picture with both optional elements. Since the Viper has a particular regime with the Dodge company, the Plum Crazy color and eventual stripes are probably available as well through the model's customization program.

Dodge first introduced its Plum Crazy hue back in 1970. The signature paint color has since been associated with the brand's legacy and the famed “Mopar-or-no-car” slogan.
