Dodge Demon Police Car Rendering is Here to Serve and to Drag Race

If there's one thing the Internet loves, that's taking high-performance machines and turning them into the police cars that law enforcement vehicle pools have always missed.

Case in point with the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon we have here, which now serves as a virtual cop car.

Thanks to pixel art label RC Workchop, the 840-pony machine now wears a police uniform and we have to admit that the mix we have here is stunning. Heck, the sheer idea of seeing such a contraption in your rear-view mirrors should be enough to fight speeding.

The said pixel players were passionate enough to deliver not one, but two renderings of the monster and you can probably choose your favorite one based on the tires.

We'll remind you that, on the streets, Dodge aficionados can enjoy the protection delivered by the Dodge Charger Pursuit. The special trick of this four-door muscle machine is that it mixes reliable V8 muscle with all-wheel-drive. For the record, the sedan can play the 0 to 60 mph game in 5.2 seconds, while requiring 13.9 seconds (at 103 mph) when engaging in quarter-mile adventures.

Here are two reasons for which you should expect such uniform muscle cars to remain confined to our harddrives. First of all, such a proposal wouldn't make too much sense, given the maintenance and fuel costs associated with Dodge's current halo car.

Secondly, the Hellcat incarnation of the Dodge Challenger would probably be more suitable for the role of a pursuit machine - sure, US roads might be straight, but most chases involve plenty of cornering and this is where the drag strip-tuned suspension of the Hellcat would come in handy. We are, of course, talking about the 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody, since the officers behind the wheel could really use the extra-fat rubber present on this machine.

Then again, if the Dubai Police happen to check out this rendering, the first point above might just become irrelevant...
