Dodge might have ended production of the Demon, with the Hellcat Redeye currently cast in the role of a halo car. However, the Challenger Demon continues to turn plenty of heads at the drag strip and the thing will continue to do so.
In fact, the piece of footage at the bottom of the page allows you to check out a classic muscle car battle, which sees the Demon being thrown at a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
The Mopar machine we have here comes in stock condition, at least according to what its owner explains. Then again, we can't say the same thing about the 'Stang, since a stock Shelby GT500 wouldn't stand a chance against the HEMI wielder.
And while we're not aware of the list of mods found on this Blue Oval toy, its performance speaks for itself. For the record, this GT500 can out-sprint the Dodge Demon, but only while they're both on the run.
Nevertheless, the Dodge Demon is considerably better at the takeoff game. So, can the uber-Challenger get enough of an initial lead to win the quarter-mile battle? The answer awaits you in the clip below.
