When Dodge came up with the Challenger Demon, the SRT engineers delivered a recipe that would make the machine the king of muscle car at the drag strip. However, the HEMI wielder sometimes needs to face other challenges (no pun intended), as is the case with the superbike race that caught our eye today.
This drag strip stunt saw the Demon duking it out with a Kawasaki Ninja. The uber-Challenger we have here comes in factory stock form, albeit using goodies from the Demon crate, which means its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 produces 840 ponies (race juice was added).
Then again, we can't say the same about the Japanese superbike. While the engine of the two-wheeled monster is stock, it does pack a few drag racing-friendly bits and pieces, such as an elongated rear arm and shifting mods.
Given the hefty scale footprint of the coupe, the machine relies on the take-off phase of the race when fighting a motorcycle. And with street bikes packing short rear arms that don't favor explosive takeoffs, that tactic usually works. However, things were a bit more complicated during the encounter with the massaged Kawasaki.
Now, the driver of the Dodge, who happens to be YouTuber Demonology, shared a few thoughts on the battle: "I've raced a few different street bikes but I've never gotten to race a real modded drag bike before. Well turns out my good friend Ronnie has one and he was at the drag strip the same night that I was so we decided to line up against each other,"
The clip below also involves other drag racing shenanigans, but those of you who are willing to jump straight to the said Dodge Challenger SRT Demon vs. Kawasaki Ninja adventure should know this can be found at the 4:47 point of the video.
