The Chrysler Group is placing a lot of eggs into the new Dodge Dart’s basket and in order to back the vehicle’s Alfa Romeo genes with some serious fire power, Dodge’s SRT division is working to deliver a go-fast version of the vehicle.
The Dart SRT4 is still a mystery, as far as the official info goes, so we can only guess what SRT will pack under that sexy hood. The first option would be to convert the current Tigershark to forced induction, but slapping a turbo to the naturally aspirated unit would probably lace the Dart SRT4 in the over-$30,000 league.
This means that the car could receive Alfa Romeo’s new 1.8-liter turbo powerplant that delivers 300 hp. If the engine sounds familiar’ it’s because it’s set to power the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car when this debuts next year.
Of course, the rest of the vehicle’s tech side will also be upgraded, so we’re looking at one hot sedan here.
