Oil fields and other such environments obviously have their fair share of unwritten rules and, apparently, one of these has to do with the way in which the custom workhorses used in such locations are gifted.
These are trucks that use fabricated beds and, therefore, they don't come with factory taillights. Well, it seems many of those who work with such machines have decided the best way to ensure the rear lights are fit for the job is to borrow the Dodge Charger's massive, "one-piece" lights.

Sure, this means paying quite a bit more than what you'd have to spend on your average trailer lights, for instance. But they've made it to the internet, right? (welding mask tip to Reddit for the pair of images seen here).

Most of these trucks are used as mobile welding machines, and yet their blue collar aura and the Dodge muscle car taillights seem to make for a perfect match.

While these people's desire for a shiny slab of American motoring history seems natural, there's one thing that amazes us when it comes to their machines.

As you can imagine, these trucks get quite a bit of abuse during their daily tasks, so replacing the rear lights more often than on our street vehicles, whether it's the bulbs or the broken plastic, is not unusual.

The Dodge assemble makes such tasks more difficult, but the two examples offered here are just a taste of this subculture.

Many work truck owners decide to build protective cages for the light cluster, but when you use elements such as the ones seen here, that path simply isn't the one to follow.

Oh well, we can only applaud these people for their DIY installation efforts. After all, you don't see a truck wearing the same lights as a police interceptor on a daily basis.
