Dodge Charger Hellcat Doing a Fake AWD Burnout Is Murrican Awesomeness

With or without a factory supercharger, ask a V8-animated Dodge Charger to pull a burnout and you won't be disappointed. In fact, certain incarnations of the Mopar four-door are so good at the tire-slashing game that they could trick one into believing that the carmaker has finally brought forced induction and all-wheel-drive together.

No, we haven't forgotten to take our pills. Instead, this tale has to do with the rubber-destroying Charger in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which appears to be a hooned Hellcat.

After checking out all the smoke coming from the front wheel arches of this Dodge, one could perhaps be forgiven for thinking the thing is doing one of those uber-rare all-paw burnouts. You know, with the machine having been strapped to the wall behind it, such a stunt could be possible.

In fact, we're simply dealing with a throttle welding job so serious that the smoke coming from the rear tires simply covers the car altogether. Heck, at a certain point during the stunt, the white-and-blue stuff even seems to come out of the air extractor in the hood.

Of course, when you're not preparing for a quarter-mile run, there's not much sense in abusing your muscle machine in such a manner - hopefully, you're keeping your pre-race burnouts for the drag strip.

As for the aural side of the stunt, we're not even such which of the three main ingredients sounds better. And that's because the V8 roar, the blower whine and the screams coming from those flogged rear tires compete for the title mentioned above.

Head over to the play button below to enjoy the short piece of footage that somehow showcases a rather long burnout and make sure you turn the volume all the way up to fully enjoy the experience.
