Dodge Charger "Battle Bruiser" Is Mad Max Gone Mopar

Remember the extreme feeling you experienced when Mad Max was forced to part ways with the badass-and-then-some Pursuit Special in the middle of the franchise's second movie, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior? Fortunately, the plethora of muscle builds featured in Fury Road, the most recent adventure of the sort, more than made up for the fall of the said V8 interceptor. Well, a spin-off called Furiousa is reportedly in production and, meanwhile, we can quench our MM thirst thanks to amazing renderings like the one sitting before us.

The pixel contraption we're looking at appears to be a twist on the classic Mopar culture - at least from where I'm standing, this appears to feature multiple Dodge Charger styling cues, albeit with these having been reinterpreted, from the C-pillar area and the Daytona rear wing to the meaty fenders.

Much to no Mad Max fan's surprise, this virtual build packs serious rugged terrain potential. For one, muscle car builds can feature beadlock wheels at the back, to keep those generous-sidewall tires in place while taking off on the prepped surface of a drag strip. Nevertheless, the machine packs four such wheels, since its rugged tires need this while talking heavy terrain.

And the lifted nature of the Mopar machine doesn't just expose the long-travel shocks. For one, we can easily notice the short exhaust leaving the vehicle behind the front wheels. Speaking of which, the cage protecting the supercharged V8 is quite a delight.

Then there's the eye candy sitting behind the C-pillars, with the flamethrower and its operator being quite a delight. Well, this level of attention to detail isn't surprising if we mention that we're dealing with the work of Craig Kember.

The artist, whose work we often feature, is responsible for the design of multiple Toyota showroom models (third-gen Tundra, 2013 Avalon, 2003 Matris). His previous roles also include leading the team behind the Camry Cup NASCAR and Tundra race truck, as well as being a senior designer for the FT-1 concept interior team.

As for the Mad Max realm, franchise directors George Miller stated that two new motion pictures were in preparation last year, but only if legal issues with Warner Bros would be left behind.

In fact, multiple reports that surfaced in March last year showed that Milled had held auditions for a Furiosa spin-off, with this said to focus on the namesake character played by Charlize Theron in Fury Road.
