You may be looking at the current Dodge Challenger and wondering why the carmaker chose to leave this model out of the spotlights, as the muscle car is crying for a significant upgrade. Well, this is exactly what it is about to receive, as Chrysler still has big plans for the model.
Sergio Marchionne, Fiat and Chrysler CEO, recently told journalists attending the 2013 Detroit Motor Show that the Challenger is set to receive a serious update. The company knows that the model has been important for its image and wants to build on this.
While the CEO didn’t offer details about the upcoming changes, Ralph Gilles, head of design at Chrysler, talked about the Challenger having the oldest interior and electronics in the group, but didn’t want to go further with the details.
The carmaker is well aware of the Challenger’s potential and we simply can’t wait to see how it will make full use of it.
